Maxis Postpaid changed to Hotlink Prepaid
I was NOT a satisfied Maxis Postpaid user. It is hard to say why but let me explain in just a bit. The current 012-number I am using was registered as a prepaid number since 2002/03 era(sounds old). I bought the Starter pack at RM123. Then I changed the number to a Postpaid account in the late 2005. Ever since then I became a LOYAL Maxis postpaid user.
It was easier to just pay the bill once a month then to go purchase the top up card 3-4 times a month. I was busy too, and a postpaid account is a simple solution for me.
However, these past few months I’m feeling that MAXIS have treated us “postpaid users” so unfair in many ways for quite a long time already. I have not receive any gift while my wife’s Hotlink number is always been receiving freebies such as free SMSes, Free Credits and lots-lots more. I am a bit jealous, because I am paying double then what she spent on her Hotlink and I received nothing as such. Bad MAXIS Bad. Grr…
Therefor today, I have opt for the Maxis’s sibling. I went to Maxis KLCC this afternoon to pay all the outstanding balance and changed the account from Maxis Postpaid Value Plus 50 to Hotlink Prepaid. Guess what? They even sweet talked me into Value Plus 30 or 80. Saying its cheaper and so on. I skipped the bla bla talk saying that I want to use the Hotlink Activ10 with the 1sen/sms on this number only.
Upon agreement with the Maxis customer service attendant. I switched Off then switched ON my phone. Dialed 122 and noticed my current balance was only RM0.39. LOL. So I went to get a RM30 top up card, scratched the card and scratched my forehead (forgot how to key in the 14-code pin number). After a minute or two, successfully top up my credit.
Here I am a newly fresh Hotlink prepaid user. The above screenshot picture was my first time login into MYHOTLINK Portal account TODAY. Check out the displayed of my “Last login” time LOL. I believe that was the last time I logged into my Maxis Online Account.
I will be searching for a new phone+new number with a better plan for an hours long talk OR just for unlimited mobile internet access. Still can’t decide which plan in need. So which mobile plan and telco you guys are using now?
