Perlis hit by floods after 1st November Rain
Yesterday was a joyful day for me online because I was awarded as one of the chosen commentator of october on myjazmanie.com. However, the November Rain which started yesterday does not bring joyful moments for flood victims in Perlis, Kedah and Terengganu. The November Rain downpour was brought overnight and had causes flood in several places in the north region of peninsular Malaysia. It was told in the news that more than 1000 were evacuated in Perlis state alone due to the fast rising floods.
All the 1096(and still counting) evacuees in Perlis are taking shelters at Sekolah Menengah Datuk Jaafar Hassan, Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu Bertangkup, Sekolah Kebangsaan Titi Tinggi, MRSM Beseri and the Arau Civic Hall. I believe that the rising floodwaters in Arau could reach up to “over the head” level because Utusan Online reported that a 70 year old resident in Kampung Batu Bertangkup had to be carried out by rescuers because her house was flooded up to chest level yesterday. I was staying in Arau when Perlis was hit by the 2005 huge flood. I hope that this year flood would not be as bad as it was in 2005. My family in Bintong had already finish moving the important documents and things up to the 2nd floor. My mom called last night to let me know of the occurrence in the village. I had to ask her and my brothers to move some things in my room at my moms house in Perlis to avoid damage from floodwaters. I hope the flood would not last for more than 2 days though the Meteorological Services Department has warned of heavy rain until Wednesday. This November Rain also brings flood to some part of Kelantan forcing people to move out from the comfort of their homes. However, I wont be worrying much because my wife, Baby Khira and my family in law leaves in Machang where flood are not common there.

Hehe… That last pic was at the Sungai Perlis near the town center. There are still some opportunist among Perlis flood victims. Considering the image above, I would like to urge all of the flood victims in Perlis to be patient and think posotive. Hopefully some good things will happen along or after the flood. May Allah save us from disaster and also bless us all as there are still 29 days for November Rain to befall upon us. Oh my..

Banjir kali nie lebih besar dari tahun 2005 dulu. Laporan drpd ibuku yang tercinta. Alasan, sebab dlm umah dah naik melebihi dari takat yang tahun 2005.

Kalau rumah tak naik air banjir seronok la nak enjoy main air. Tapi kalau dalam rumah jadi macam tongkang pecah. Mesti susah hati. Nak main air pun dah tak ada mood. Tak gitu?
Kalau orang baru kahwin, musim2 hujan nie, seronok juga berdua di bilik. Pelbagai skill boleh cuba. Hmm..

So far belum dengar lagi kemalangan jiwa berlaku pada banjir kali ini di Perlis.
Tapi malam nie aku agak sibuk sebab ayah dan isteri aku tersekat dalam banjir x boleh balik rumah lagi. Isteri baru sampai Perlis, travel dr kelantan. Dah la penat, nak kena redah air 2-3 km baru sampai rumah. Oh ya, tambah lagi baru lepas bersalin 15 sept yg lepas. Suami kat KL boleh gelisah jela tp xleh nak tolong. Huhu.. T_T

Saya bersekolah di sini dulu 5 tahun lamanye tp tak pernah banjir..apa yang saya lihat Institut Pendidikan guru sebelah tu teruk jugak kan..kalau saudara ada foto sila post saya nak tengok, tk.
