CommentLuv not functioning on Anwar’s Blogshop. Why?
I was reading an article on Ideas.Think.Share about “Blog dofollow dan nofollow satu analisa” until it comes to the part about commentluv as a dofollow plugin. Then I went back to Anwar’s Blog and notice that my CommentLuv plugin is not functioning. Visitor who came to visit my blog would not be able to leave their newest post link. What had happen? Time to bedah siasat Anwar’s Blogshop again. Grr…
The CommentLuv Enabled Badge does not appear on blog.
Commentluv checkbox - Manual Insert Code
I found out that the Badge does not appear as I try to visit my blog as a guest. Therefor, I went to CommentLuv setting page to check on the settings. The setting were set to the default but still the commentluv is not functioning. I tried to manually insert the php code into the comment.php in order to show the CommentLuv Enabled Badge and the checkbox. Then I went to check on the result and this is what I get.

How to check for your WP version?
Here is what I do in order to check for my current WP version. I log into anwarosman.com using FireFTP, then I go to the wp-includes folder and find the file version.php. Open it and I saw this.

Now, what am I going to do? Perhaps, a WordPress update process? Does anyone have any other idea then just go straight to WP upgrade?

Skrg tgh pakai 2.9.2 la nie. Huhu.. reluctant untuk upgrade. Reason? Ntah la. Selesa dengan benda yang dah familiar kut. Version 3.0.1 kan ada perubahan sket kat dashboard dia.

i think need to update the WP to 3.0.1 because the plugin com luv ..also has been update…

Soft launch AnwarOsman.com versi WP 3.0.1 la kut nie. Tomorrow buat post pasal fix error dan jugak upgrade wp. Ahaks..

There’s one time i did not upgrade my WP version and guess what? All the files, post, widgets, ads lost gone into thin air. There’s a reason why WP come up with new version.
So next time, even tough you’re familiar ke or malas nk upgrade ke, think about it first.
Accident do happen.

Masa tu WP baru version 2.1.. And i was quite new with blogging.. So ingatkan takde pape.. Kalau x upgrade.. Cisss..

Well, the only thing I have in mind to upgrade your WordPress is to actually do the long process of transferring files. In that way, you could actually make sure that you are doing the right thing. However, you must take into consideration in creating back-ups.

Thank you Lynn, I did the backup and all the file transfers. WordPress upgrading went smoothly and the plugin works now.
