Internet browsing tips and tricks part 1
Browsing the internet is reading superficially or at random by selecting various webpages. It is what internet users has been doing when they are on a web browser software. Do you want to browse internet faster? Forget about tweaking your computer or your web browser for awhile, and learn the internet browsing tips and tricks. First of all, get a Web Browser like Firefox or Google Chrome because this will start your browsing journey into the internet with much more fun. During my personal computing experience I have picked up a habit of using keyboard shortcuts while browsing. Combining the use of mouse and these keyboard shortcuts have help me to browse the web a little bit faster. Learn how to browse the internet with easy browser tips and tricks that even a child could do.
I will share with you about some useful keyboard shortcuts that I always use while browsing internet. Now, lets start a Web Browser (eg:Google Chrome). Now that you have start-up a web browser, your cursor should be blinking right at the “Address location bar”. Your web browser might have open your homepage. My homepage is Google.com.my so I would leave that open because I will use Google soon after. Assuming that you are using Firefox(theres a post on this), Chrome or Internet Explorer 7/8, Lets press the Ctrl button and T simultaneously (Ctrl+T). This will open a new Tab in your web browser. This is called tab browsing. Tab browsing is very useful and it is a smart browsing feature which have been integrated in many web browser nowadays. You can better organize your web browsing exploring by arranging the tabs as you like. This simple tips and tricks may be known to all web surfers already so I guest you also know it.
Now that a new tab is open. Lets go to our 2nd webpage. I know that you want to open your Facebook account. Okay, lets try that by typing Facebook and hit (Ctrl+Enter). Yes the shortcut Ctrl+Enter button will add the .com after the word Facebook that you typed in. This internet browsing tips and tricks does not work with addresses ending with .com.my , or other example such as .co.uk . If you have opened Facebook several times already using the same browser like Firefox or Chrome, it will automatically scans through your history and suggest you Facebook right from when you only manage to type in “Face”. So you just need to press Enter. Example as image below.
Once you had enter Facebook.com, pressing the TAB button will bring your cursor to the insert email form. Pressing the TAB again will go to the next text fill password form. If you accidentally pressed the tab button too much and you want to return back to your previous selected area, just press (Shift+TAB). Once you are logged in, to read through the webpage you will need to press Arrow Down and Arrow Up button. This will scroll the webpage similar to when you use the mouse scroll. For a faster scrolling you can use the Page Down to scroll down and Page Up to scroll upwards. Pressing the Home button when you are at the bottom of the page will bring you up to the 1st line of the webpage. Pressing the End button will bring you to the bottom of the page.
I am sure that most of you wants to open multiple-facebook pages for easy and fast browsing. Yes, By using the Right Click > Open in new tab on your selected Link will do the job. That is a slow browsing process. What if you are browsing on an old computer and the drop down menu is slowly descending? Here is how I do my browsing tricks. Identify which link you want to open in a new tabbed browser. Press the Ctrl button on the keyboard and click on the Link. Yes, you did it with a better and simple trick (Ctrl+Link). Another trick is to open the link in a new browser window by pressing the Shift button and clicking the URL link (Shift+Link). Please test these shortcuts yourself to better understand how it functions on your web browser.
Okay, those are the keyboard shortcuts with some mouse click combination that I always use everyday while browsing webpages. There are plenty more tips and tricks to internet browsing that you can use to enhance your internet browsing experience. Thank you for your good advice. That header graphic is actually the default for this theme. I will change it when I can create better ones later.
